Stylenanda/3CE Makeup Review Part 2

You can view part 1 here.

In my 3CE part 1 review, i talked about the shimmer stick, lip colour aka lipstick and the lip pigment. As i was quite impressed, i decided to try more of 3CE's make up range.

These are all my 3CE products so far. The new ones are 3CE cream blusher in coral, 3CE Lip Color in celebrity, 3CE lip pigment in mink beige and 3CE cream waterproof eyeliner.

3CE Cream Blusher
They have it in 3 different shades and i got it in Coral since i have 2 pink blushers at home already. Prior to this, i've never tried cream blusher. Like an excited kid, I tried it the next day immediately and guess what? It's not a surprise that i love it!

Since it comes in a tube packaging, it's extremely easy to apply. I have noticed that their products are rather pigmented so i only squeeze one small drop on my finger, dabbed 3 dots on each cheek and blend them. It's so easy to blend and colour turns out so well. + point is that it's very long lasting. Hehe i'm so happy at how well it turned out for me.

Rate: 5/5

3CE Lip color
I realized that i missed out on this so this is a photo i found on Google instead. I got mine in Celebrity, which is pretty shade of neon orange tone that is not too bright or overwhelming for me.

Pros:
- Pigmented
- Rather long-lasting

Con:
- Dry

*[Edit: 03/12/2014] After doing 2 reviews on this product, i just found out that some lip colors/lipsticks are more moisturizing than the others ( I have 4 3CE Lip Colors now) so i turned to check the labels again and realized that the MATT lip color is more dry while the ORIGINAL ones are slightly better. I'm sorry i took so long to realize it but when i bought them, it wasn't stated whether it's matt or original so i thought they were the same.*

In fact, i think this gives off a slightly more natural look, which i like. I'd wear this on dressed down days when I don't want to look too sloppy.

3CE Lip Pigment
I've already reviewed it in part 1 but just to summarise it...

Pros:
- Highly pigmented so you only need a small amount of it.
- Long lasting
- Versatility

Cons:
- Be sure to apply lip balm first as it is not moisturizing at all (same for their lip color/lipstick).
- Application is slightly more troublesome as you have to use a lip brush to apply.

Also, remember to give it a shake before using it.

 Left: Issue, Right: Mink beige

In Issue

Photos captured using iPhone at night hence the quality.

The colour is definitely much brighter in real life.

In Mink Beige

It's pretty much a nude colour. I'm not such a fan of nude lips though. I remember my colleague asked me whether i have nude lipstick (cos i've been changing my lip colour everyday at work lol) and my reply to her was, "Nope. I apply lipstick because i want some colours on my lips so having nude lips would defeat the purpose. I might as well don't apply anything." And she laughed at my response haha.

Anyway, I got it in beige so that i can play and mix with other colours to lighten them. I actually mixed it with NYX soft matt lip cream in San Paulo for this picture *points below*

Their unique marketing of this product is you can mix the colour around to get the ideal shade that you want, so it's very versatile. I quite like the beige and electro pink combination! Am considering if i should get it.

Mixed my Issue and Mink Beige together to give it a beige coral tone as seen on the chart.

Not sure if it's because of the camera quality or the lighting in my room is just bad, the colour is different in real life. The colour on my lips is pretty much the same as the swatches i did but somehow it seems more orange in my selfie.

3CE Cream Waterproof Eyeliner
I don't have oily skin but unfortunately, i have oily eyelids so having a waterproof eyeliner is really important for me. I only use liquid eyeliners as i think they work better for oily lids. I heard that their cream eyeliner is really good so i decided to give it a go.

I got it in the colour - Evita, which is a shimmery brown eyeliner. I wanted something apart from the usual black but i'm not adventurous enough to try other colours. I was so tempted to get it in Moulin Rouge, a shimmery blue colour or in Chicago, a shimmery purple colour, but decided that i'm too noob to make them work haha.

I like how the shimmer is very subtle so it doesn't look too overdone. I tried smudging by rubbing it after taking this photo and it's really smudge proof! It doesn't even budge. The consistency is very smooth thus it glides onto the skin really well, making it easy to draw your eyeliner. However, i do find myself reapplying it as the inner corners tend to smudge a bit due to my oily lids. I still think it's a good product because i heard it works for so many people. My eyelids are probably too oily haha. Also, note that i didn't use any primer and usually just apply it over my skin.

Even though it's smudge proof (it doesn't smudge if you rub it), it is surprisingly easy to remove. One of the best parts is, it comes with a sharpener!

Just pull out the end and you can sharpen the eyeliner with it. How awesome! Hehe

Rate: 4/5

My favourite 3CE product has got to be the cream blusher followed by their shimmer stick (even though i hardly use it due to lack of time to put on full make up everyday). Their lip colour would be perfect if only it wasn't so dry on the lips.

Tsukada Nojo X Maple & Market X Tim Ho Wan

Saturday, I started my day feeling really unimportant. It got better throughout the day and well; I ended the day with me feeling unimportant all over again. Today, i'm really upset. I hope your Saturday is better than mine. Sometimes it just feels like no one puts me as their first priority. Maybe i read too much into things. Tomorrow will definitely be a better day.

Gonna talk about happier things now. Had a date with Melissa quite some time back. I think it has been about 1 month haha. I wanted to try Yoogane but she had a sore throat so we changed plan to have 美人锅 (Collagen Hotpot) instead. The restaurant name is Tsukada Nojo, at Plaza Singapura.

We went on a weekday and started queuing at 6pm-ish all the way to about 6.45pm. There were only 4 groups of people in front of us but the queue was moving slowly.

This is the collagen broth! They heat it up and it'll melt into liquid form.

The soup is really awesome i'm not even kidding. Now i know why people are willing to queue for it because i'm willing to queue for it too. After the collagen melted, they will let you have a taste of it first, before putting all the ingredients in. You can also get a second refill of the broth, which is awesome, because Mel and i kept drinking the soup haha.

Total bill was about $60 after GST and service charge.

We went to chill at Starbucks after that because we wanted to try their new drinks. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake frappe and M ordered tiramisu frappe. Actually it was a bad idea getting starbucks after that cos we were so stuffed after everything. I could roll home.

Was trying to let my skin breathe and i wanted a natural and clean look so i only had CC cream under my eyes and drew my brows. Yup, i was using the CC cream as a concealer haha. Actually.... i was just lazy lah cos we only met for a few hours so i was lazy to do my usual makeup routine. Haha

Also got the chance to try Maple and Market with Bryan some time back.

On the table
Gula Melaka Cake
Rose Infused Cake
Caramelized banana with homemade caramel and walnuts waffle

My favourite has got to be the rose infused cake. I'm not sure why but i always have a thing for rose flavoured desserts. Like macaron and cake. Bryan, on the other hand, loves the Gula Melaka cake. I also give props to their waffle because it's quite delicious as well.

The oreo cake looks damn good too? Was hoping to try more cakes from Maple & Market! The only downside about M&M is the place is really tiny so you probably have to wait for a while before you can get a table. The shop only houses 4 to 6 groups of people at a time.

Last but not least, I also met up with Jo, Van and Xy a day before flying to Bangkok! We had a mini belated birthday celebration for xy since we didn't get to meet up often. Was supposed to eat Nakhon Kitchen but it was closed so we decided to have some dim sum at Tim Ho Wan

Went to fruit paradise to get a "cake" for xy.

LOL. Forever being so weird and retarded haha.

No Other Meaning - NOM

2 weeks ago, i told Bryan that i would bring him to try out a new cafe but didn't tell him where and what. We have this thing going on whereby we will bring each other to try out new eateries. + 1 point for me because he hadn't heard of NOM then. When he knew i was bringing him to Macpherson CC, he threw me the "What the hell... you serious?" look.

In the end he was quite impressed and kept asking me how i found the hidden gem.

I asked him to take a photo of me so he took my phone and took a selfie instead. This boy here doesn't know the angles and all. Lol all his selfies look so awkward and weird.

I had the Fish Burger and he ordered the Ultimate NOM Burger which tastes magnificent, for the price we paid. His huge burger only cost us $13.90 while my fish burger is only $10.90. + point for the affordable cafe food.

#whysoserious

 Oreo flavoured Rainbow Cake

I'll admit, the sole reason for bringing him to NOM is because i want to try their rainbow cake. I just cannot resist pretty cakes, especially rainbow ones. Hehe. I was actually there to try their Salted Caramel flavour but they were only left with Oreo. It wasn't too bad, i like how the cake is not too dense and heavy so even after our meals, we could still stomach it down. The oreo taste is slightly blend but it'll suffice.

Even though the food here is generally affordable, the rainbow cakes are around the same price as other cafes. It's $7.90 per slice

Bryan told me this cafe made it to his list of favourite cafes because it's cheap and good. In fact, we actually went back one week later! This time, we only had their desserts. Again, the salted caramel cake was sold out :( We went at about 3-4pm and was told that their bakers are making the salted caramel cake now but it would only be available at night.

Chocolate Rainbow Cake + Caramel Pecan Cheesecake

Personally, i prefer the oreo flavoured one. The chocolate one is just mediocre so it didn't leave an impression on me. As for the cheesecake, the consistency of it is very well done. It's a bit heavy (well, it's cheesecake) but the caramel and the pecans complement each other really well.

We went back to my house after that for my family steamboat because my parents were going to Malacca for a short trip. This Bryan just want to play his game..... boys -_-

Psst, just want to say that both my tops are from thelimelightthief.blogspot.sg. I especially love the grey one (I have it in black too) because it's basic and so versatile. I've been wearing them to death haha.

Assembly Coffee X November 8

A selfie on my way to work ^^. I told myself not to cab to work anymore but i was damn late already plus I waited for 30mins for a freaking cab but to no avail. In the end i had to call a cab -_- I only reached the office at 10.30am btw but it's ok since it was my last day. Lol.

Kai xin de

Settled some stuff at work and Ying came to pick me up at about 12.30pm because we were going on a cafe adventure!

We went to pick Mel up and off we go!

1st stop: Assembly Coffee

I've been wanting to try this cafe for ages because i heard so much about their waffles! I came here a few days before this trip with Mel after my work but it was closed :( So when we planned to cafe hopped, i suggested it immediately.

I'm happy with the food! We ordered a smoked salmon croissant and an earl grey caramel waffle to share. Look at the eggs on the croissant *hearts eyes* it's really yummy! I love anything with eggs and i really appreciate it when they cook eggs to perfection.

The waffle also didn't disappoint. Look at that plate of goodness. The ice cream on top actually doesn't tastes like anyhing haha. I think the caramel sauce overpowered it. In fact, the waffle doesn't taste like earl grey waffle too. But whatever, it's just good.

I ordered a cup of iced chocolate which was just meh. I concluded that The Bravery serves the BEST iced chocolate. Melissa ordered a cup of latte and Ying ordered some mini drink (the only mini drink on the menu).

 Omg i'm salivating now

My face getting fatter because i keep eating. Lol #storyofmylife

We were quite full by then but we headed to our next stop : November 8

This time we only ordered a rosti to share. Truth to be told, the food is not fantastic but the ambience is good. I really like the interior of it and also the fact that it's not so cramp/small like many cafes nowadays.

The sauce they used for the salad and the eggs is quite nice though. As for the rosti (which should be the nicest), it kinda sucks.
