Stylenanda/3CE Makeup Review Part 2

You can view part 1 here.

In my 3CE part 1 review, i talked about the shimmer stick, lip colour aka lipstick and the lip pigment. As i was quite impressed, i decided to try more of 3CE's make up range.

These are all my 3CE products so far. The new ones are 3CE cream blusher in coral, 3CE Lip Color in celebrity, 3CE lip pigment in mink beige and 3CE cream waterproof eyeliner.

3CE Cream Blusher
They have it in 3 different shades and i got it in Coral since i have 2 pink blushers at home already. Prior to this, i've never tried cream blusher. Like an excited kid, I tried it the next day immediately and guess what? It's not a surprise that i love it!

Since it comes in a tube packaging, it's extremely easy to apply. I have noticed that their products are rather pigmented so i only squeeze one small drop on my finger, dabbed 3 dots on each cheek and blend them. It's so easy to blend and colour turns out so well. + point is that it's very long lasting. Hehe i'm so happy at how well it turned out for me.

Rate: 5/5

3CE Lip color
I realized that i missed out on this so this is a photo i found on Google instead. I got mine in Celebrity, which is pretty shade of neon orange tone that is not too bright or overwhelming for me.

Pros:
- Pigmented
- Rather long-lasting

Con:
- Dry

*[Edit: 03/12/2014] After doing 2 reviews on this product, i just found out that some lip colors/lipsticks are more moisturizing than the others ( I have 4 3CE Lip Colors now) so i turned to check the labels again and realized that the MATT lip color is more dry while the ORIGINAL ones are slightly better. I'm sorry i took so long to realize it but when i bought them, it wasn't stated whether it's matt or original so i thought they were the same.*

In fact, i think this gives off a slightly more natural look, which i like. I'd wear this on dressed down days when I don't want to look too sloppy.

Rate: 3.5 to 4 /5

3CE Lip Pigment
I've already reviewed it in part 1 but just to summarise it...

Pros:
- Highly pigmented so you only need a small amount of it.
- Long lasting
- Versatility

Cons:
- Be sure to apply lip balm first as it is not moisturizing at all (same for their lip color/lipstick).
- Application is slightly more troublesome as you have to use a lip brush to apply.

Also, remember to give it a shake before using it.

 Left: Issue, Right: Mink beige

In Issue

Photos captured using iPhone at night hence the quality.

The colour is definitely much brighter in real life.

In Mink Beige

It's pretty much a nude colour. I'm not such a fan of nude lips though. I remember my colleague asked me whether i have nude lipstick (cos i've been changing my lip colour everyday at work lol) and my reply to her was, "Nope. I apply lipstick because i want some colours on my lips so having nude lips would defeat the purpose. I might as well don't apply anything." And she laughed at my response haha.

Anyway, I got it in beige so that i can play and mix with other colours to lighten them. I actually mixed it with NYX soft matt lip cream in San Paulo for this picture *points below*

Their unique marketing of this product is you can mix the colour around to get the ideal shade that you want, so it's very versatile. I quite like the beige and electro pink combination! Am considering if i should get it.

Mixed my Issue and Mink Beige together to give it a beige coral tone as seen on the chart.

Not sure if it's because of the camera quality or the lighting in my room is just bad, the colour is different in real life. The colour on my lips is pretty much the same as the swatches i did but somehow it seems more orange in my selfie.

Rate: 3.5/5

3CE Cream Waterproof Eyeliner
I don't have oily skin but unfortunately, i have oily eyelids so having a waterproof eyeliner is really important for me. I only use liquid eyeliners as i think they work better for oily lids. I heard that their cream eyeliner is really good so i decided to give it a go.

I got it in the colour - Evita, which is a shimmery brown eyeliner. I wanted something apart from the usual black but i'm not adventurous enough to try other colours. I was so tempted to get it in Moulin Rouge, a shimmery blue colour or in Chicago, a shimmery purple colour, but decided that i'm too noob to make them work haha.

I like how the shimmer is very subtle so it doesn't look too overdone. I tried smudging by rubbing it after taking this photo and it's really smudge proof! It doesn't even budge. The consistency is very smooth thus it glides onto the skin really well, making it easy to draw your eyeliner. However, i do find myself reapplying it as the inner corners tend to smudge a bit due to my oily lids. I still think it's a good product because i heard it works for so many people. My eyelids are probably too oily haha. Also, note that i didn't use any primer and usually just apply it over my skin.

Even though it's smudge proof (it doesn't smudge if you rub it), it is surprisingly easy to remove. One of the best parts is, it comes with a sharpener!

Just pull out the end and you can sharpen the eyeliner with it. How awesome! Hehe

Rate: 4/5

My favourite 3CE product has got to be the cream blusher followed by their shimmer stick (even though i hardly use it due to lack of time to put on full make up everyday). Their lip colour would be perfect if only it wasn't so dry on the lips.

Stylenanda/3CE Makeup Review

My 3CE Loot

You have no idea how happy i was when i found a way to get my hands on 3CE cosmetics because i've been wanting to try them despite some bad reviews online. I mean look at Park Sora and all the korean models from Stylenanda, they are all so pretty *hearts eyes*

I wanted to get their Gel Eyeliner in Glitter Black too but it was out of stock.

3CE Shimmer Stick
This is available in 2 shades - Peach and Pink. Peach gives a luxurious and natural glow with its micro gold particles while pink is for highlighting and defining your face with its micro silver particles. I got the pink one because i'm looking at highlighting my features, especially my almost nonexistence nose bridge :(

My face looked like it was glowing ^^

I'm no makeup guru, in fact i'm quite a noob at this but i love it. I've been using it diligently because when i take photo under good lighting, it really defines my features. Since it comes in a stick, it's really easy to use and very convenient to carry it around too.

I like how it is not too heavy and it's easy to blend with either a brush or using your fingers. Pretty long lasting too i would say.

3CE Lip Color
It is slightly dry on the lips so i'll usually apply lip balm first before apply this lipstick. I have it in Chu Chu colour. It's a bold pink colour that is quite pigmented. Bold but not too bright. This is my favourite lipstick as of now! It's a pity that it's really dry on the lips otherwise it would be perfect. As for the lasting power, it lasted for quite a while before i had to reapply. Not too bad i would say.

Since it's my favourite lipstick, i've been wearing it out quite often.

3CE Lip Pigment
Frankly speaking, i only bought this because it's cheaper than the lip colour. I read online that this is highly pigmented and even though it's a small bottle, a little goes a long way. When i first used it, the "oil" came out instead of the colour pigment. I thought because it was new but the second time i used it, the same thing happened. I'm not sure why but i guess it's because it was left stagnant in my makeup box? So make sure to shake it before use.

Application is slightly more troublesome than the lip colour/lipstick because you have to use a brush (i don't have a lip brush that's why i haven't been using it). It is definitely more long lasting AND the colour is not as transferrable as their lip colour/lipstick.

I have mine in Issue which is an orange tone.

What i find fancinating about this lip pigment is this :

You can just mix with other shades to get the colour you want! How fun hehe. The only downside is it's quite impossible to touch up because 1) You'll look like a painter in the washroom 2) It is difficult to get the same ratio to mix the colour. It can also be used as a blusher or eyeshadow even though i have not tried it yet.

In conclusion, i love it. I can't wait to try other 3CE products and also get their lipstick in other colours^^

Cure Natural Aqua Gel Review

Sponsored Post

Have you always wanted to have a flawless complexion?
Want skin as smooth as silky tofu?

I WANT!

I remember vividly when i was in primary 2 or something i didn't like tofu at all. We were having steamboat when my mum told me, "Tofu is good for the skin!" and guess what, i just forced myself to eat all the tofu in the steamboat. I was only 8 years old and my skin was already good enough then. HAHA #sibeivain. Btw, i genuinely like tofu now i guess i got used to it.

So anyway, if you want to have better skin, you will love the product i'm going to talk about! Cure Natural Aqua Gel is so popular in Japan that a bottle is sold every 12 seconds!

What is Cure Naural Aqua Gel?

A gentle, non-abrasive water-based exfoliating gel that contains no fragrance, no alcohol, no artificial preservatives or colouring. Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive skin. It removes dead skin cells gently and effectively to help in skin renewal for softer, smoother and brighter skin.

A basic skincare must-have to prevent skin problems such as enlarged pores, blackheads, pimples, blemishes and dull skin tone. Discover how your face brightens up and how your make-up glides on beautifully after using CURE.

I like how it's in a pump bottle instead of a tube or tub.

How to use Cure?
  • Wash your face and towel dry well.
  • Pump a dab of gel on your finger.
  • Apply on your face and massage in a circular motion for 30 to 60 seconds to remove dead skin.
  • Rinse face with water and follow your daily skin care regime.

My Review
I mentioned before that i don't like facial products with fragrance which is why my favourite part about CURE is it's made up of all natural ingredients. It's important not to stress our skin (you don't want to have breakouts do you?) so always try to use all natural products on your face. I also love the fact that it's very gentle on the skin! The skin on our face is actually more sensitive than other parts of our body, especially the eye area. The skin there is exceptionally tender and fragile so frequent tugging will cause winkles and fine lines around your eyes (I've learnt it the hard way...).

Some people might think that if the product is too gentle, it wouldn't work. BUT trust me when i say after exfoliating my face, my skin feels so much softer.

Just a few rubs and my dead skin is out! Hehe

Bio-essence Hydra Tri-action Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask Review

Sponsored Post

Recently Bio-essence just launched their latest Hydra Tri-action Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask! I know the name is really long and is quite a mouthful but doesn't it sound promising?! How the name (aqua droplet) came about was because it actually transforms into aqua droplets upon application! You just have to rub it for 3 seconds and aqua droplets will form

thus it offers total 3X hydation!

Not only that does it hydrates, it also nourishes and protects your skin making it supple and firm!

Sealed for hygiene purposes!

With 2 types of Hyaluronic acid (Power Nano hyaluronic acid and hyaluronic acid), Cranberry Extract & Bio Energy Fluid, it provides long lasting hydration and protects the skin from environmental factors. Bio-essence Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask replenishes moisture, nourishes and repairs your skin non-stop while you sleep. Upon application, hydrating ingredients magically transform into big aqua droplets which are rapidly absorbed to constantly replenish and lock in moisture.

Hydrates: 3X hydration power

Power Nano Hyaluronic Acid:

  • With an average nano molecular size of 15-25nm, it absorbs quickly and easily into the skin, making skin instantly hydrated and moisturized.
  • Superior moisture retentation capability to keep skin firm, plumped up and moisturized
Hyaluronic Acid: Forms a large lock water network to effectively lock in moisture, keeping the skin moist and soft.

Cranberry Extract: Works as a great moisturizer and aids in moisture retention, improving skin elasticity and suppleness.

Nourish
Cranberry Extract provides excellent conditioning of the skin for a healthy glow. with Bio energy Fluid which further nourishes and refines skin texture.

Protects
Cranberry Extract is rich in anti-oxidans which protectes skin against harmful free radicals, environmental and UV damage.

I didn't photoshop or do anything to it at all! I just took it on different days hence the colour difference.

Look at the droplets of water! So amazing right?

My Honest Review
I've been using it for about a week now and i only apply in at night because i don't apply moisturizer before putting on makeup in the morning (i'm really lazy). Anyway, I really like how moisturized i feel whenever i apply it on my face. You can literally feel your skin being hydrated immediately because of the aqua droplets formed upon application. It looks thick and heavy in the tub and when you spread it, it turns slightly matt but if you continue spreading and rubbing it, it turns transparent. Initially I was worried because like i said, it looks thick and heavy and my skin cannot take products that are too rich. I've had milia seeds once when i used Bobbi Brown's eye cream so i was worried that this would happen to me but i'm glad it didn't. The skin actually absorbs it pretty fast! + Point! I was quite surprised to find my skin still quite moisturized when i wakes up every morning. Another + point!

My only complaint (or maybe not for some of you) is that the smell is a bit too strong. It smells really nice and good but it's a tad too strong for my liking. Almost felt like some sort of perfume haha but that's just me. Other than this, this product really does what it says and i will definitely buy it!

Here's a recent photo of me (before i cut my fringe)

And this is an even more recent photo of me (taken on 12 Nov)
Took this at midnight while i was preparing to sleep haha but i only had concealer in this photo! My skin looks pretty alright right?

I give Bio-essence Hydra Tri-action Aqua Droplet Sleeping Beauty Mask the credit for it!
