Tsukada Nojo X Maple & Market X Tim Ho Wan

Saturday, I started my day feeling really unimportant. It got better throughout the day and well; I ended the day with me feeling unimportant all over again. Today, i'm really upset. I hope your Saturday is better than mine. Sometimes it just feels like no one puts me as their first priority. Maybe i read too much into things. Tomorrow will definitely be a better day.

Gonna talk about happier things now. Had a date with Melissa quite some time back. I think it has been about 1 month haha. I wanted to try Yoogane but she had a sore throat so we changed plan to have 美人锅 (Collagen Hotpot) instead. The restaurant name is Tsukada Nojo, at Plaza Singapura.

We went on a weekday and started queuing at 6pm-ish all the way to about 6.45pm. There were only 4 groups of people in front of us but the queue was moving slowly.

This is the collagen broth! They heat it up and it'll melt into liquid form.

The soup is really awesome i'm not even kidding. Now i know why people are willing to queue for it because i'm willing to queue for it too. After the collagen melted, they will let you have a taste of it first, before putting all the ingredients in. You can also get a second refill of the broth, which is awesome, because Mel and i kept drinking the soup haha.

Total bill was about $60 after GST and service charge.

We went to chill at Starbucks after that because we wanted to try their new drinks. I ordered the strawberry cheesecake frappe and M ordered tiramisu frappe. Actually it was a bad idea getting starbucks after that cos we were so stuffed after everything. I could roll home.

Was trying to let my skin breathe and i wanted a natural and clean look so i only had CC cream under my eyes and drew my brows. Yup, i was using the CC cream as a concealer haha. Actually.... i was just lazy lah cos we only met for a few hours so i was lazy to do my usual makeup routine. Haha

Also got the chance to try Maple and Market with Bryan some time back.

On the table
Gula Melaka Cake
Rose Infused Cake
Caramelized banana with homemade caramel and walnuts waffle

My favourite has got to be the rose infused cake. I'm not sure why but i always have a thing for rose flavoured desserts. Like macaron and cake. Bryan, on the other hand, loves the Gula Melaka cake. I also give props to their waffle because it's quite delicious as well.

The oreo cake looks damn good too? Was hoping to try more cakes from Maple & Market! The only downside about M&M is the place is really tiny so you probably have to wait for a while before you can get a table. The shop only houses 4 to 6 groups of people at a time.

Last but not least, I also met up with Jo, Van and Xy a day before flying to Bangkok! We had a mini belated birthday celebration for xy since we didn't get to meet up often. Was supposed to eat Nakhon Kitchen but it was closed so we decided to have some dim sum at Tim Ho Wan

Went to fruit paradise to get a "cake" for xy.

LOL. Forever being so weird and retarded haha.

Goodbyes are never easy

How was your weekends everyone? My weekend wasn't so bad but i wished it was longer. I had a really hard time getting out of my bed. Anyways, my Saturday was spent lazing in my bed. I just felt that i need to have some time at home, to chill, wake up late, relax, do whatever i want. I have to say it had gotten a little boring towards the night but i guess i was just not used to staying at home. My parents asked me to join them at Chinatown but i was too lazy to move and get change. Instead, i watched RIPD (which i downloaded by accident) in bed and it was the best mistake ever.

Hope everything is going well for you! See you soon :* (that's a kiss emoji if you can't tell lol)

Then last Thursday, my colleagues decided to have lunch at The Oasis Restaurant. A Taiwan porridge restaurant near our office. It looked pretty much like Teochew porridge to me though.

Ordered a few side dishes to go with the porridge. And i think it wasn't enough hahaha. Ok lah i was kinda full after that but after a while i was kinda hungry again. Big eater here.... sigh. Paid $14 for this and i always say i was broke. After this meal, i was even poorer.

Last week just flew by, just like that. Sunday was spent with Bryan, as usual. I went for my IPL appt, followed by hair appt before going to explore JEM with him. Frankly speaking, JEM was ok only leh? Everyone say until like it was so good. In the end Bryan and i found joy in watching ice hockey @ Jcube instead haha. I never thought ice hockey was quite interesting.

Dinner was at Lee's Taiwanese. I insisted to eat there cos we came all the way here so i didn't want to eat something that can be found elsewhere.

Actually i think the food not bad leh but Bryan said it sucks -_- I think he just doesn't know how to appreciate chinese food. He is more skewed towards "Ang moh" food.

I supported the Home team - white colour, but they lost..... But they all damn cute lah. I was telling Bryan that next time our son should learn ice hockey. Haha. We both spent close to an hour to go home after that. Meh. I don't think i wanna go there anymore. Even though there are various malls there and JEM is actually quite nice and huge but it's not really worth my 2 hours travelling time, to and fro.

Anyone know how to slim down face? My fat face is getting fatter :(

My 21st Birthday Party♥

Loooooooong post!

So i had a hard time planning for my 21st birthday party. When i say hard time, i mean i was really lazy to plan. I took a long time deciding on the hotel and then i had a hard time deciding on the food. I mean, my dad likes Asian food, especially Singapore food like Chinese, Malay and Indian food. So initially i wanted to cater food but obviously it's difficult to cater to the hotel as they usually don't allow you to hold party in their room. Then i was considering to just have a dessert table etc etc and finally after contemplating for the longest time, i decided on something that was more convenient and would suit everybody's taste.

Like i said, i was really lazy to plan. I met Melissa to do manicure on the 7th of August and when she asked me how was the planning coming, i just told her i don't know hahahaha. I couldn't remember what she asked me. She asked a few questions about my party and my replies were either "I don't know" "See how lor" "I haven't decide" or "I don't know what to do" HAHA #fail.

Anyw, here are our nicely done nails @ The Nails Status
Guess which one is mine? ^^

I wanted to do a normal manicure initially because i don't like gelish nails when they start to grow out. The ends will sort of curl and my hair gets stuck in it -_- but anyw since i was planning to do design, i decided to do gelish instead! It has been about 2 weeks and my nails are as good as new hehe.

Did you get it right?

Finally, the big day arrived. My sister and I woke up at about 9.30am to have breakfast and to get all the stuff i needed. I'm really thankful to have an elder sister who always keep a lookout for me and try to help me as much as she can. I didn't even ask her for her, she volunteered :') Also very grateful to my mum because she woke up early to cook curry chicken for party, she also did it on her own accord and i didn't even know until i woke up and saw her preparing.

Had a simple birthday breakfast @ The Coffee Bean. It was my first time having their breakfast and i have to say i think that it's not bad.

We went to SKP to get the Happy Birthday banner to hang at my Photo Booth then we headed to NTUC to get tibits and some drinks. I got bryan to help me get some drinks too but i was worried that it wasn't enough so i bought some. In the end he bought 12 bottles for me LOL. Bryan really helped me a lot for my birthday and i really appreciate it a lot.

Finally we checked in @ Pan Pacific Orchard Hotel and started decorating the room! Hehe i was so happy i swear. & the room was huge, for a hotel room. I booked the studio room which is about 52 sqm.

Then after a while, my favourite people came! Hehe thank you for coming early to help me out. Love all of you :*

My darling Audrey went for hair for hope!!! So brave i swear. I wouldn't have done it even if someone were to give me $1000.

Why am i the devil here?

Then at about 5.45pm, Bryan and Jet went to get food for me and Melissa and jg went to collect the cake and buy ices. As for Audrey and i, i dragged her to go swimming with me! Haha the birthday girl is the biggest and hence, i got my minions to do things for me while i relaxed and chilled.

Had a super short swim and went back to bathe and get ready! IT WAS PARTY TIMEEEEEEE!
Kicked start the photoboothing time with my girlfriends! 7-8 years of friendship and still counting

Followed by my dearest pokpoks! Hehe they made my poly life so much fun and i'm really glad to have to know them. Thank you for being so sporting and so retarded. Our time together is always filled with laughter

I really like the batman prop! So cute right?

My pretty girls

Of course, my year 3 groupmates were there!

Hello my bunch of crazy and retarded group mates! You girls really made my year 3 more enjoyable. We have to meet up often now that Vanny is leaving for UK soon :'( I hope our friendship will continue to blossom because i don't wanna lose y'all.

With my year 2 boys!

Out of my poly years, year 2 was the best! It was the most fun & the most bonded class (to me, as compared to my other classes).

CL made me a banana bread and it was burned, hence the sad face.

They said birthday girl had to try first and so i did and....it wasn't what i expected haha. But still, thank you for baking this for me!

 Papa Leong

Thank you for booking the hotel room for me

Food was Peperoni Pizzeria's XXL Pizza X 5! Yes, i ordered 5 huge pizzas haha

A Big thank you to Bryan and Jet for getting it for me!

Jet, my secondary school friend since sec 1!

Jun Gui, another close friend since sec 1!

With Papa Leong & Mama Leong

Ohana means family. Family means no one gets left behind

How can i ever leave out the love of my life? I must have said it a lot of times but sometimes i really don't know what i would do without him. My dear boy treats me like a gem and i always ask myself what have i done to deserve someone so precious like him. I'm not lying, i really ask myself this question! Forever helping me, forever thinking for me, forever putting me before everything and forever thinking of ways to make me happy :')

I'm always feeling very pampered and blessed around him because he never fails to do things for me. If i were to have a slight discomfort, he will do anything to make me feel better. He would bring me to places i was dying to go & buy me things when i said i wanted it. He really spoils me a lot. Thank you for all that you had done, I love you

My secondary school babies!

Pokpoks without beeting cos she had to leave early. But still, thank you for rushing over!

Year 2 classmates without Esther cos she came late.

People i wanna keep close to my heart

 Army boy Kian Wei!

This idiot was trying to get me drunk i swear. Lol. I was made to drink 21 shots and thank god i made it through! Hehe. Wasn't even close to getting drunk by the end of the party.

Burden esther came so late but i still love you

Love you Vanny

All in all, i just wanna say a huge thank you for taking time to come down and making my 21st so memorable! It wouldn't be the same without you guys! I'm also truly happy to hear from some of my friends that this was a successful party. Lastly, thank you so much for the presents. I love them!!! Frankly speaking, i really think you guys know me damn well to know what i want/like. I really hope all of us will still keep in contact in years to come

I really felt bad. Like really bad because Bryan spent so much money on me and i don't think i deserved it. I'm really really lucky, too lucky in fact. Now, i have to headache on what to give him on his birthday haha. Damn you Bryan, for making this so difficult for me but i still love you

I'm truly blessed to come to know this bunch of friends whom i had grew closer to throughout the years.

xoxo
