Labour Day

Spent my Labour Day with my favourite boy ever.

Had an impromptu shopping spree that day and i was so happy. It has been a while since i shopped. I got for myself a pair of Dr.Martens and a cropped denim jacket as well as a tube peplum top from Miss Selfridge. Thank you Bryan for helping me to carry my shopping bags and waiting for me for like an hour at Miss Selfridge. Oh and also for going to 2 different Starbucks because i insisted that they have this 1 for 1 promotion from 2-5pm hahahaha but I think it's not available in Singapore -_-

Got a dozen of Krispy Kreme because the boy was craving for it.

Love is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible - it cannot be seen or measured, yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment, and offer you more joy than any material possession could.

Shopping always makes me happy but nothing can make me any happier than being with him. I hardly say things like this but like my close friends always tell me, he's a gem. To get my friends to say this to me, he must be pretty awesome haha.

Gotta admit my brows looked too weird that day and i only realised it when i scrutinised the photos. Meh.

We had Korean for dinner. Can you believe i tried to make reservation thrice but all failed because it was fully booked?! In the end i called about 5 days in advance to place a booking. I wanted to keep it a surprise for Bryan but i had to ask him how to go in the end because i don't know how hahahaha #FAIL. But it was my treat that day :)

Dinner was at Damatory Jung Wine House. We had their buffet!

Tuna Steak and Tteokbokki (Korean rice cake).

MUST order both when you're there. It's really yummy.

Beef slices

Also, please do yourself favour and order their kimchi pancake. IT'S CRAZY GOOD. Like i LOVE it.

Lazy to rotate the photo haha. It's spicy squid and chicken with cheese. Don't order the chicken with cheese because we really regret it. It was alright but it's pretty gelat and it's dull in comparison with the rest.

I'd rather save my stomach space and try other dishes.

Seafood Tofu Soup.

If you are wondering why the dishes look so big it's because they serve the normal ala carte portion for their buffet. So it's better if you go in a big group, that way you can try more dishes. We only have the 2 of us so there were so many other dishes we couldn't try. Anyway you can opt for ala carte too but the ala carte price for the kimchi pancake is $17 already so buffet is probably more worth it.

I'm going to ask the usuals here to try soon. I miss their kimchi pancakeeeeeeeee already.

P.S Hehe my mini shopping loot

1827 Days | 60th Monthsary | 5th Anniversary

I've never felt more blessed in my entire life.

Just 2 days ago, on the 8th, was Bryan and my 5th Anniversary. I have never thought we would have come so far. Initially I was full of doubts about this relationship and you could even say i was doubtful of love. Maybe i've always been a pessimist but i didn't believe in true love, finding your soulmate or even in MEN. I had this theory that all men cheat on their partner. I have no idea why. So throughout the whole relationship, i would ask Bryan questions like "Do you think we can watch all the Twilight sequel together? (WE DID hehe)" "Do you think we will still be together X years down the road?" etc etc. His answer is always a definite yes. Then he would ask me back "What do you think?" And my answer is always "I don't know... Maybe?" I always wonder how could he be so sure of our relationship, of us, of me.

So many times i wanted to give up and i'm glad i didn't. Sometimes i think of all the silly moments we had and smile to myself. He always brightens up my day. He's always there for me, be it rain or shine. I'm blessed to have found someone like him, someone who cares for me way more than i care for myself, someone who always tries to solve my problem even when it's none of his business, someone who dares to act silly in front of so many people just to make me smile, someone who worries that i'll run away with other guys when he goes to army (LOL), someone who is so protective of me, someone who takes such good care of me, someone who put me above him and anyone else. And the list goes on and on.

So to celebrate our 5th year, i brought him to the Lime Restaurant @ ParkRoyal on Pickering Hotel. It all started when I chanced upon the photo of their Matcha Fondue online (YES MATCHA FONDUE OMG). If you didn't know, i'm an avid fan of matcha so i already told myself i must bring Bryan here! Then the other day, we walked passed and decided to go in to have a look and my dear Bryan was all praise about the hotel so i thought it would be great to have our 5th Anniversary dinner here :)

Bread and Butter pudding that was finished before we could get a taste of it.

ALL HAIL THE GLORIOUS MATCHA FONDUE.

I was so excited when i put the matcha coated marshmallow and their lime marshmallow into my mouth. You should ask Bryan because he witnessed me squealing with excitement hahaha.

To many more years to come, my love.

My angel turned 21! // Oasia Hotel

Here to blog about my favourite boy's 21st birthday! I promise to get the advert up by 30th Oct. I'm well aware that i'm running out of time but i've been really busy. His birthday celebration was kinda like a last minute thing because he was lazy to plan.... but anyway it was at the Oasia Hotel!

We had the superior room since Bryan didn't plan to invite anyone else. It was just for The Usuals. Well, Jet and JG decided to bluff Bryan that they couldn't make it and i had to play along with it.

Bryan: Are they coming?
Me: Huh..idk leh. Jg says he couldn't make it & jet is working. Maybe he is coming after that.
Bryan: So sad... no one coming for my birthday
Me: I'm here to celebrate with you right? *smiles*

After a while.....

Bryan: So who is coming later?
Me: Melissa lor. She coming after her d&d
Bryan: Huh only her? The rest leh?

*repeat the conversations a few times*

Now you know what i had to go through.

The room was about 25sqm if i'm not wrong but it was good enough for 5 people.

I was there early so i checked in first and got the opportunity to laze around hehe. The bed was damn comfy! That's what i love about hotel. I waited for Bryan to come before we went swimming together :)

No photo of us swimming and enjoying the Jacuzzi. We spent quite some time there even when the pool was quite small, at about 30m.

Came back to the hotel to wash up before we headed out for dinner. I was actually waiting for JG and Jet to come and have dinner together after they collect the cake but they were damn late. In the end Jg went to collect the cake and came only at about 7.45pm. It was a surprise like i said, so we kept the cake at the Hotel's Restaurant (Zaffron) and made plans to surprise him at 12am sharp.

By 7pm, Bryan kept saying he wanna go out for dinner already and i had to keep dragging the time. Omg it was so tiring.

Bryan: Eh they look like giant ear wax right?!

LOL seriously......

Finally it was time for dinner! I gave the birthday boy the choice of Japanese, Italian or Western (burger) cuisine and he chose Western. So i brought him to &made by Bruno Menard at Pacific Plaza!

Banana and honey shake ($9)

The Honey Salmon Burger ($21)

The food was honestly not bad and i'm glad Bryan and the rest enjoyed the dinner. However, i do think that the service there can be improved on.

Like i said, we wanted to surprise Bryan at 12am with the cake so the initial plan was to ask Melissa to collect the cake after her d&d and ring the doorbell at 12am. But she called me up at 10.40pm because her d&d ended early so we had to come up with another plan on the spot. I met her at Orchard Mrt (told Bryan i saw my AC friend) to pass her the access card to our room and asked her to go there to collect the cake and to rest first while the rest of us stalled time. We wanted to only reach our room at 12am but again, the birthday boy was grumpy and kept saying that he wanted to go back to the hotel room. Meh. This boy damn troublesome please...

Anyway long story short, Melissa hid in the toilet and pretended that no one was in the room and then i told Bryan that my stomach hurts so i rushed into the toilet immediately when i reached the room. At 12am, Jet turned off all the lights and we came out of the toilet with the cake! Hehe the boy was shocked

Mission Surprise Bryan was successful!

The piping could better... Even i can pipe better than this. Lol

But the cake tasted really good and i'm not even a fan of carrot cake in general.

Camped in the toilet while waiting for the clock to strike 12.

Happy birthday my favourite boy! You will always be my favourite boy.

As usual.... #nothingnew

Then out of a sudden, Melissa "flew" off the bed and hit her head on the side table :O I didn't think it was anything serious and laughed at her but she cried in the end. Poor girl. She has a huge baluku at the back of her head now.

Our medic attending to her

The night ended with us watching paranormal activity 4 and Masterchef Season 4 before we fell asleep one by one haha.

The next day, his actual birthday, we checked out at 1pm and the 2 of us headed to Adventure Cove while the rest had lunch before heading home. I've decided to bring Bryan there since he had't been there before while it was my second time (read about my first time here)

No photos because i forgot to buy a waterproof camera. I had so many things to bring and so many things on my mind that i forgot to bring my towel along too but Bryan offered me his towel hehe. See what i mean when i say he's a sweetheart.

There came the dinner part and as usual, i did my research and shortlisted a few restaurants. We went to the Starz Restaurant at Hard Rock Hotel for their buffet dinner in the end!

Here's to you,
The one that always pulls us through
Always do what you gotta do
You're one of a kind, thank god you're mine.
You're an angel dressed in armour.
You're the fair in every fight.
You're my life and my safe harbour,
Where the sun sets every night.
When your love pours down on me
I know i'm finally free
So i tell you gratefully,
Every single beat of my heart
Is yours to keep.
