Just thought i'll do a little update since i'm free today. Christmas and New year flew by in a blink of an eye and it's already 2017 now. Christmas was spent with R and my friends going across the border for the countdown. Tbh, i wasn't expecting much cos there were hiccups here and there but it turned out to be so much fun. I was also a bit worried that R would be bored there but i'm glad he enjoyed himself too hehe.

That night was epic. I wished i had recorded down everything so i could rewatch it over and over again next time. Sadly, i don't even have many photos to show.

Christmas Gift Exchange!

As for my New Year, i counted down with R's friends @ Marina Barrage before heading over to Suite26 to find my friends after we caught the fireworks.

Tbh, i think i ended 2016 and started 2017 on a good note. I was genuinely happy and contented and i couldn't ask for anything more.

Then here come 2 days back, when Audrey, Melissa, SY and i made our way to JB to spend our Sunday.

 Happy for my bestie who has found the love of her life!

Dinner was at this cafe called The Roost. This place serves food that is similar to Aloha-Poke/ A Poke Theory/ Ninja Bowl. The interior was also nicely decorated and has complementing music which gives off a very chill vibe.

Koone for dessert but sadly their standard dropped so much wtf. I remembered it was nice but now it was barely edible -_- I'm never going back to Koone again.

Back on the grind

Back to blog after.... 11 days. I don't have any photos to post because #exams. Now that it has ended, i'm kinda working hard to earn some money for Bryan and my trip to Japan. Actually i don't think i'll have enough? I mean, i don't want to scrimp and save when i'm overseas. I just want to spend comfortably and not contemplate any of my purchases.

Strawberry bingsu from O'ma Spoon. Quite good. From then on, B wants to eat bingsu from everywhere else.

So we went to Nunsongyee and ordered the injeolmi bingsu. This is good too hehe. I've never tried a bingsu i didn't like. Surprisingly, it's kinda near my house too so yay!

At iSteak at Serangoon Gardens

Hmm nothing impressive about the steak. This place is just like Astons but slightly better and pricier. My steak cost $16 with 2 complimentary sides. B ordered the Norwegian fish ($16) and it was just alright too.

Since we were at gardens, we hopped over to Oblong for dessert!

 Red velvet waffle from Oblong!

This is yummy! I've only tried red velvet waffle twice - once at Stateland cafe and this time at Oblong. After my experience at Stateland, i kinda stayed away from red velvet waffles and stick to the normal buttermilk ones? Everyone says Stateland's red velvet waffle was good but when we tried it.... it was so disappointing.

Oblong, on the other hand, has impressed me (maybe cos i got low expectations lol)! So happy i got to eat a nice red velvet waffle because i love red velvet!

I felt like it has been so long since i did a food post. I always do it last time because we always hunt for yummy food but we kinda stopped for a while due to our other commitments.

Selfie because i like how i lined my eyes here. I don't actually like putting on eyeliner because it's such a hassle and everyone knows i'm damn lazy haha. But that's how i like to draw my eyeliner if i have/want to draw them; just a simple and natural-looking one.

My in-charge actually told me it's compulsory to draw eyeliner to work and i diligently drew them for the first 2 weeks of work. Now.... i just go without eyeliner cos it's really damn troublesome. Plus i'm kinda a perfectionist and i won't leave the house until i'm satisfied with every aspect. Hmm this is also a reason why i'm always late. I need to keep checking my outfit, makeup, lipstick, hair etc etc until i'm damn late already then i'm like ok fuck this shit.

This girl here is really the queen. I just came back from work about 30 mins ago. No one was at home because my parents went for my aunt's birthday dinner and guess what, the aircon in the living room was on. The first thing i saw when i opened the main door was Cadbury prancing around happily in the cold. SHE HAS BETTER LIFE THAN ME. I'm pretty sure my mum treats her better than she treats me hahaha #fml

SO HAPPY TO SEE THIS TODAY because for the past 3 weeks, it has been "complete MR notes by xxx, complete BB notes by xxx, Finish chapter xx for xx" etc etc. Yay to having absolutely nothing to do ^^. Gonna play my sims and maybe watch some videos.

Happy Lunar New Year

初二 / CNY day 2

Every 初二 of Chinese New Year, Bryan will come over to my house to 拜年 before we head to my aunt's house together. This year was no exception :) My favourite part of cny is dressing up although i only did my cny shopping on the eve of cny. Remind me not to do last minute shopping again because the crowd was terrible. Anyway, I managed to score this pretty floral number from MDS collections.

This made it to my instagram although i actually prefer the one above now haha.

I bought this pair of heels on the first week of Feb but didn't have a chance to wear them out so i might as well just wear them for cny. This is my favourite pair of heels as of now. It's so versatile and relatively comfortable for someone who doesn't wear heels frequently.

Also realised that i actually look pretty bad/unglam whenever i take pictures with people who are at least 10cm shorter than me. Like i'll hunch down and the angle is usually very unflattering for me haha.

 Family - with my other half and my sister's other half, without my brother and his family cos they left early.

Played blackjack and won about $28 if i'm not wrong. Every cny, i only play blackjack haha. Cos i'm lousy in mahjong and i think it takes too long & a lot of focus to play. Blackjack is the fastest and easiest.

Only reached home close to 1am that night.

初三 / CNY day 3

Had nothing on for day 3 so B and i met up for a simple dinner. Decided to explore Seletar Mall because i was lazy to dress up. Not a very wise choice either because it's so inconvenient for both of us.

 Bought grilled muah chee from a random stall and both of us agreed that it's not bad. And it's only $2 per stick. 

Bryan suggested going to Punggol Waterway for dinner buttttttttt little did we know, Punggol Waterway is actually super huge and the food area is only at a small part. Walked till my death but we were still very far away so we took a cab instead haha. I was navigating via Google Maps because the cab driver didn't know the way and I found out that it was actually very near Melissa's place so i whatsapped her to join us hehe.

Dinner was at Whisk & Paddle

 My Mac & Cheese - Yummy although quite gelat towards the end. 

 Spicy wings that were mediocre

We ordered at around 9pm but the food only came at like 9.35pm or something. I was DAMN hungry by then. The funny thing was, the wings actually came after the mains???

Reached home at 12am and did my assignment + blogged until 3-4am. CNY still need to do assignment -_-

初四 / CNY day 4

Was supposed to meet the usuals + girlfriends at 3pm to get the ingredients for steamboat but 本小姐 only woke up at 3.30pm hahahaha. In the end, i took a cab down, fetched B on the way and only reached at around 6pm. Gambled immediately and i have to say so far, my luck is quite good. We played 2 rounds of blackjack - before and after dinner. I won about $45 within 30-45mins for the first round but lost about $10 during the second round. Still quite lucky i guess? Haha.

Not that i want to act cool but Bryan says i cannot smile haha. I bought this top like maybe 6 months to 1 year ago but i conveniently forgot about it. The pants were also bought about a few months back but somehow i didn't feel like wearing them so both items were new!

In fact, i only bought one dress (which i wore on the second day) for the whole of CNY. I have too many new clothes chucked somewhere in my wardrobe haha. When my sister moves out (can't wait haha), i'm going to buy a bigger wardrobe, one clothes rack for me to hang my outerwear, and maybe a shoe rack in my room.

SO he asked me to do this pose to which i replied, "You think i'm in ANTM now???" Hahaha
