Day 5: Sun Moon Lake (日月潭) & Cingjing Farm (清境農場)

Day 5

Since there were 6 of us, we decided to 包车 to go to Sun Moon Lake (日月潭) instead of taking public transport. It's definitely more worth it to 包车 if you have more people, plus it's so convenient. Just hop onto the car, sleep and by the time you wake up, you've reached your destination haha. One of the pros is the driver will usually recommend you to go to other places that are along the way to your destination. Sometimes, you can just tell the driver a few places you have in mind and he'll plan it for you.

Tbh, i don't know where the ferry was going. It was a tour and there were a few stations so we just board the ferry and alight at wherever they stop haha

Looking at a huge spider hanging from the tree lol

 Eating the famous 茶叶蛋

Lol at the uncle posing for us hahaha

I realised i didn't take any pic of the food in this area so this is a screenshot from the video clip. Ordered this fried vegetable bun because it looked good and i liked how it was made on the spot. But it was really oily and the oil got onto my hand omg the horror. The lack of trash bins in Taiwan also didn't make it better.

Another screenshot of a video clip which i never include in the final video

So while i was paying for the vegetable bun, ying wandered to the opposite stall and was staring intently at what the man was doing so i went over as well. Ended up standing there for 10mins or so and we both left with a bottle of.... whatever that is. LOL i have no idea but he said it's good for the skin and contains collagen, so buy lor.

The funny thing is there were 2 guys beside me. The seller said one bottle is NT300, if we get 4 bottles then it would be NT250 each. One of the guys already said he wanted one in the beginning. Both ying and i also wanted to get 1. The other guy didn't say anything and just stood there waiting for his friend to buy when i suddenly turned to him and said, "You just get one also ok? Cos we only have 3 bottles now." Hahahahahaha. Ying was like wtf you doing because he's a stranger. He was a bit stunned and after a short pause, he nodded his head and told the seller that he will get one bottle too LOL.

Took the ferry back and we were headed for Cing Jing Farm (清境農場)! It was so cold over there, i think it was about 8 degrees. At one point, there was cold smoke coming out of our mouths as we talked.

Our driver asked if we wanted to have ice cream at Feeling 18 (18度C巧克力工房) cos it was famous. It was also along the way. There's only one store in Taichung currently so of course, we said yes! I'll never say no to ice cream hehe. They are originally famous for their chocolates but my driver said i definitely cannot bring back to Singapore so i didn't get it in the end.

I chose the dark chocolate ice cream though and it was delicious! Also got matcha flavour cos y'all know how much i love matcha and i think the strawberry flavour as well. I love eating ice cream when the weather is chilly.

 Arrived at 清境農場

What a pity, it was too foggy that day

The horse be like, "Da fug u doing"

Sorry if i just spammed the photos because it was so hard getting a good selfie with dem sheep. They moved too fast and there were so many other people fighting for a photo.

I liked this black one! His wool looks like a mop hahaha but he was extremely hard to take a good picture with. Also, he was in high demand cos he was the only black sheep

Yay managed to get one good shot after so many tries hehe

Another good shot ^^

The trick is to ask your friend to put the food right in front of you to get a good selfie with them. There was this young boy who kept stealing my sheep! Like whenever i had a sheep with me, he would use his food and lure my sheep away :( It happened like 3 to 4 times. When he came to steal my sheep (i was with the black one then) for the 5th time, i asked him in a sad tone, "为什么你一直抢我的绵羊?" LOL i think he got a shock hahaha. He smiled shyly before wandering away and he never came after my sheep anymore.

There's a small food area on the other side of the farm, so we went down to get a quick bite before heading for dinner at the place the driver recommended.

I ordered the cucumber and mustard stuffing and it was so good

Decided to be adventurous and tried fresh goat's milk but it was so bad omg. The 骚味 was really strong so all of us took a sip only and threw the whole bottle away.

Headed for dinner at a restaurant the driver recommended before going back to our hotel. Ying and i put down our stuff and off we went to 逢甲夜市 again to eat lol.

Here's the first part of the video featuring day 1 to day 5! I've also included a few video clips from my snapchat. The editing for taiwan vlog part 2 is also done but i've not decided when to upload it.... probably when i'm done blogging about the whole trip? I wished i could keep traveling and do more travelogues because they make me so happy.
