Lai lai, ask me some questions? Nonsense also can but at least make some sense ah. http://www.formspring.me/Chasethechicken
Don't think y'all will be interested in this post today but i'm still going to talk about it. As you can see from the photos, i'm talking about Cadbury (my bunny) today! Hehe i found some photos when she was about 3-5 weeks old! Super cute and adorable :')
I think she was 3 weeks old in this picture. She and her signature helicopter ear! She is the only one among her siblings who raises her ears. When i first got her, she kept doing that too but she seldom do it now. Think her ears are getting longer and heavier. Lol
She was the best gift ever. Second best gift was Boomy, my hamster. I really like pets a lot. I tweeted this before, "If my mum allows ,I'd love to turn my house into a zoo"
I mean it y'know, but the thing is i'm the only animal lover in my house. My dad hates it, my mum is still okay with it, my sister couldn't be bothered with pets - except dogs.
So back to the point, today i named it Cadbury's Day! Brought her for consultation at the vet at 12pm. I was supposed to bring her back 2 weeks ago but i didn't have the time to. She gained like 600g! Rabbits really grow up very fast. She's now in her "not very cute" stage but still cute to me no matter what :)
Guess who reunite with her mommy after so long????
Cadbury(left), Mummy(right)
The person who helped to groom her (also the one who sold us Cadbury) said she was very active in her house and she played with her mum. Wished i was there to look at them. & here's Cadbury looking very neat and smart with her brushed furs
Her ears really very long in this photo.
If you are considering getting a bunny, you have to bear in mind certain things. I know bunnies are cute/gentle/loving/adorable/quiet but i feel that getting a pet is a commitment and you shouldn't get it if you are not ready to commit. It's not like you can just give them food and water and they will be happy. There should be communications and even though rabbits are quiet, they are quite expressive. They still require love and attention, like a dog/cat.
Pros and cons of getting a bunny are alrd on xiaxue's blog but i have to emphasize that you have to clean your bunny cage every 2 days. One week 3 times, one month 12 times. I was complaining to my boyfriend that i really drains my energy whenever i have to clean her cage. However, it depends on the bunny, Cadbury drinks a lot of water. A lot. A lot. So she pees a lot as well and their pee are smelly. This is also a commitment and a responsibility. I managed to litter-trained Cadbury but she hasn't got it perfectly right yet. 80% litter pan, 20% everywhere. However if i let her out, she won't shit at all. I'm fine with her poops though. They are really harmless and no smell.
She also likes to pee at this particular spot, so i have to mix the litters around after that. Sometimes, i'll take toilet paper to wipe it too. If i leave it there, it will get too smelly. So sometimes i will throw away the smelly and wet litters and put in some new ones.
& if you are like student (like me), you have to be prepared to spend a lot of money on her bunny supplies. If you can, get your parents to sponsor you. For me, i pay on my own because i don't want to waste my parents' money on my pet. If it's mine, then i'll pay. I was already prepared beforehand. So far i spent about $200 on her supplies and $161 on her consultation/medicines and she is with me for only 6-7 weeks now.
If you think you are ready, GET A RABBIT alrd! Hehe. She really makes me happy with her actions and her cute and innocent face. Sometimes i think she understand what i'm saying too.
P.S Currently training her to come to me when i say "come"
This post is getting too wordy for my liking. Ending off with Cadbury's likeaboss photo
