It's at Shaw Centre, directly opposite Aloy Thai (which i don't like).
I didn't work a lot in December but i decided to treat the parents with my meager pay. Decided on Hai Di Lao because 1) Mum couldn't stop talking about it since their China trip 2) Dad is an avid steamboat lover 3) I've not tried it before
I have another reason actually. Prior to that, my parents had a huge quarrel (they've made up before the steamboat so don't worry) so I'm trying to make things easier/happier for them. At the same time, I also want to spend more time and bond with my family.
Talking about this just makes me feel all grown up. Ewww. Lol.
I find this slightly overrated. The best soup broth is the Collagen soup at Plaza Singapura. Anyway, I shared the cost with my sister so i only paid about $100. I think this is the first time i treat my parents with my salary? They usually don't let me pay for them.
Moving on to more recent happenings.
Llao Llao with my OG girls after school one day!
About a quarter of my OG met up for supper at Thomson last sunday and we actually stayed out till about 4.30am. Too bad i didn't take any pictures but it was a fun night. I love hanging out with spontaneous people :)
And... just yesterday i went to B's house and look who was excited to see me?
Have you guys heard of the Korean Spicy Noodle Challenge? Leroy introduced to me before it was the "in" thing but i didn't purchase it because frankly speaking, all the spicy food he recommended to me are not spicy at all, imo. After the challenge became the thing, i thought i must try it since everyone said it was damn spicy!
I brought the noodles to B's house so we could try it together. Actually i've already tried it on my own but i wanna try with him again haha so fuck his life.

Top: His (Half packet of chilli paste)
Bottom: Mine (1 and a half packet of chilli paste)
It doesn't look red in photos i don't know why but the verdict is..... it's not spicy at all. My friends said half pack of chilli already burns that was why i only gave B half cos he can't take chilli very well (also, it was our dinner so i didn't want to spoil it). He told me it was just right for him to enjoy his noodles. He also tried from my bowl and didn't have a huge reaction too.
I remember eating it and filming it down the first time i tried because Leroy wanted to see my reaction but i was giving the meh face and a thumbs up at the end of the video and he said, "You imba!!! You don't think it's spicy? Crazy!"
