HK Day 1 and Day 2

Hong Kong Day 1, Leggo!

Ok first i just wanna say that this wasn't the best trip because when you go with a big group of people, it's quite difficult to agree and settle on some things and sometimes you find it hard to live with some other people who have a completely different POV/character/attitude/beliefs as you. Which is also why i prefer travelling with my friends because i know we will definitely enjoy the trip and have little or zero argument. Travelling with relatives isn't always a good idea because i feel that it might jeopardised that r/s between families if there is argument. Nonetheless, i still enjoyed even though there were disagreements. This trip could be better.

3 families here.

My companion in the plane.

Just took off~

Landing soon~

Hello from HK airport!

We had a direct bus from the airport to our area. It was an hour ride away and costed us 33HKD which is about $5.40.

We stayed at Nathan Road, Yau Ma Tei MTR station. Super convenient to go to places because you can walk to mongkok from here to go to langham place which has clothes that are more suitable for us. It's also a stop away from Jordan MTR station where you can go and eat Australia Dairy Company.

I'll talk about it along the way.

Really like the weather there. The whole time i was there, the weather ranged from 19 to 23 degree. It was so cooling and comfortable to walk on the streets. Now that i'm back in Sunnyland, i really missed the weather there.

Reached our apartment at about 5pm and went off for dinner! Managed to find the claypot rice that is famous. Took this photo and sent to Bryan cos he said must go. Hahaha

While eating, we noticed that there was a long queue outside. Frankly speaking, i prefer Singapore's claypot rice........ and it wasn't cheap. Like one pot is $7.

Dessert at a random dessert stall. So so only leh.

Headed to Ladies' market! It's located at Mongkok as well. Look for the signs along the road, they will tell you how to walk over. The street is call 通菜街.

I also tried smelly tofu/fermented tofu for the first time and YUCKS! I didn't like it at all.
The taste is damn bad ok......

Day 2!

We woke up at about 7.30 - 9am everyday and walked the whole day and only resided back to our apartment at night.

The adults decided to go to the dim sum place opposite our apartment for breakfast. Was expecting a lot better but this place sucks. Service lousy, food lousy, price is on a high side.

Century egg porridge with barely any century egg and the consistency is a bit like water.

LOOK AT MY CUSTARD BUN! What kind of custard bun is this????? So fail. Sigh.

My sister and i. Do we look alike?

As we walked along the streets, we realised that there were a lot of shops selling gold jewellery.

Dad & uncle went to look a Rolex watch instead.

OOTD

Top: Bangkok
Necklace: Hong Kong
Bottom: Online
Shoes: Birks
Bag: Tagger (borrowed from Bryan)

Hahahaha look at my dad's jacket. He borrowed it from my brother.

Ok so like i mentioned earlier, we went to Langham Place to shop! & i went crazy at Monki. I picked out like 6 or more clothes to try on but sadly i only bought 2 cos the rest either not suitable for singapore's weather or didn't have small size. The sizes there run big. Like really big.

For me, i had to look at either XXS or XS at Monki.

Another OOTD shot.

Bought this top for $32.

We all went separate ways @ Langham Place cos the rest of them not interested in shopping. So it was just my mum, sis and i. Hehe couldn't be more happy cos i can bring them to elsewhere to shop without others complaining that they were tired/very far/bored.

Next, i brought them to Argyle Centre/旺角中心. This is just a 5mins walk from Langham Place. You can get a map from the info counter and walk over or you can just ask the people there. They called it 旺角中心.

This place is like a mini BKK's platinum mall so my sis and i loved it! The clothing here are relatively cheaper than elsewhere too. I think whatever i bought there ranged from $8-20. Cannot compare to BKK's pricing but for HK, it's good enough.

MUST EAT THIS FROM ARGYLE CENTRE. DAMN GOOD.

Cute cookies that a shop was selling.

We met up with the rest and went to have dinner at Lan Fong Yuen cha chaan teng cos i researched online and discovered that this is a popular place BUT we all found the food mediocre only. So disappointing.

Their service also not very good. If you ask them to take chilli or whatever, some of them might show you attitude. Pui.

Found AC's cookie at their marketplace there. Hahaha

Favourite! Must drink 许留山 when you're in HK! It's almost everywhere.

Tourist shot.

That's all for Day 1 and 2. Day 3 was to Disneyland so look out for that post. Haha. I just kept eating and eating when i was there because there was always someone who would be hungry. I think i gained like 10kg or something. Gonna start working out next month when i settle my gym membership stuff! ^^
