Madam Kwan's + ONEFC Event

I've got so many backlogs so i'm going to squeeze 2 entries into 1.

Have you guys heard about Madam Kwan's? Apparently it is this famous nasi lemak place in KL and it is now available in Singapore, Vivocity. Since the restaurant opened, i've been bugging Bryan to try it. After months of persuasion on my part, we finally tried it. Well, he reluctantly agreed because he knows that i will never stop bugging him until we've tried it haha. The only reason why he didn't agree initially is due to the pricing that i will talk about along the way.

But first, let me take a selfie.

I remember we went on a Monday because i was so happy that i didn't have to work haha.

My $18.90 nasi lemak.

For the price, you get a few pieces of rendang, a chicken drumstick, half of a hard-boiled egg and 2 -3 sambal (?) prawns. I would say the most important part of nasi lemak is the rice. Their rice is anything unlike the normal ones we have in Singapore. The normal nasi lemak rice has very strong coconut taste to it whereas this is a different kind of fragrance. I'm sorry i can't remember much about the taste because we had this about 3 weeks ago. However, i do remember that everything on my plate was tasty!

The rendang is well marinated and the meat is soft and slightly chewy. The chicken drumstick is actually pretty big and again, the meat is not too tough. I really dislike chewing on tough meats. The skin of the drumstick is also slightly crispy according to Bryan since i didn't eat the skin. The prawns however, are unique. I'm not sure if it is sambal prawns because i remember it being sweet with a bit of tanginess. The prawns are Bryan's favourite. I think my favourite is the rendang.

We also ordered their satay and boy, i love it!!! If i'm not wrong, we paid $12.90/$13.90 for 6 sticks of satay. It's damn expensive if i may say so but i think i just had the best satay there. If you ever go there, please order this! I promise it'll blow you away.

The next event : ONE FC

Bryan won a pair of tickets to the ONEFC event held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and he asked me along. I didn't want to go initially because i didn't want to watch fights. Ok, the thing about me is i always say i don't want to watch but when i do, i'm super into it. Hahahaha. You should have seen me. Bryan said i looked like i was more into MMA than he is because i was damn siao there.

Pardon me for the bad quality of the photos because i used my iphone5s to snap them.

The event was supposed to start at 7pm but they only had a fight at about 7.15 to 7.30pm before we had a 30minutes break. So technically, the event started at 8pm instead. We had a Singapore Represent and guess what, Singapore WON!!!

Hehe i was cheering like mad #Singaporepride

Fighters are usually given a nickname. We have seen "The Magician" "The Panther" etc and then i saw "The Rock". Out came this small sized man and i was like.... No no no. He is not The Rock wth. Have he seen The Rock? The Rock is huge. Dwayne Johnson will always be The Rock!!!

Haha i was damn annoyed and Bryan gave me the wth look like i was crazy.

Took a snapchat and sent to my friends haha.

Selfie when i was home around midnight. The event ended at 11pm and thereafter, Bryan and i had our super late dinner at Burger King before we caught the last train home. I was stranded at Bishan cos i missed the train to AMK so i cabbed back from there.

Overall, the event was quite good? Other than the fact that we weren't very near the ring, i actually enjoyed myself thoroughly. I kept screaming and screaming there hahahaha. I actually find it hard to believe that that was me back there.
