Before that, i had a facial appointment at Blush. I also go there for my brazilian waxing and i used to do my underarm waxing there too, until i started going for IPL. You can find them under the label "beauty" which i just started because i have too many nonsense label and it's all over the place.
Wore shades out because of my naked face.
Like what i said in my previous post, I signed up a trial radio frequency facial with Blush after trying out their complimentary normal facial the other time. According to the therapist, the radio frequency facial is supposed to tighten my skin and most importantly reduce my dark eye circle. I'm definitely in for the latter. The whole procedure lasted for about 1.5hours and i almost fell asleep. After the facial, i thought i saw a slight improvement around my eyes but I'm not sure if it was psychological though so i asked Bryan and he said, "a little bit". So i decided to sign up a package with them!
Speaking of packages, i recently also signed up a hair package with Vintage Studio Hairdressing. It started when i purchased their deal for hair colouring on either deal.com.sg or groupon.sg for $49. I needed that to prepare me for my big 21 and guess what, the people there are so PUSHY. I would have had a great experience there if not for them being so damn pushy. First of all, they kept asking me to top up to get hair colouring from a better brand and i declined because frankly speaking it doesn't matter that much to me. Then my hair stylist suggested for me to do highlights which i had to top up $88 and i said no to that as well. I said no many times, in fact.
While i was washing my hair dye off, the other guy asked me to top up for additional hair treatment and also asked me to buy their hair mask. I said no again but he just kept going on and on. I was already feeling rather uncomfortable then and once i was done, my hair stylist asked me to take scalp analysis and asked me to sign package. I REJECTED SO MANY TIMES BUT HE JUST KEPT PUSHING ME OMFG. I felt so helpless the whole time. I am not good at saying no, at least not so many times. So i just gave in in the end :'( It was a 6 times hair colouring/highlight/scalp treatment (you can choose either one) package which costed me $570. I felt my heart crying the moment i walked out of the salon. Fuck my life for giving in. Sigh...... but i have to say their service seemed not bad though. That was the only consolation i have.
Ok back to this. After my facial, i just walked around cityhall with my bare face and without my sunglasses since we were indoor and i felt quite uncomfortable haha. Too reliant on cosmetics :(
Had lunch @ Sushi Express before rushing off for the NDP. Everything was only $1.50 so we literally spammed the salmon. Hehe.
It was so damn crowded omg. The NDP officially starts at 5.30pm. We were there at about 5-5.15pm and we had to sit at the back/side. Our seats were at the blue zone which was at the far right and it didn't help that we were seated in the middle too.
A sea of red.
I was actually pretty hyped about this because the one and only time i had attended was when i was in primary 5. I was 11 then and i am 21 years old now. Literally 10 years ago :O The same goes to Bryan. Hahaha why are we so pathetic?
Anyw just to side track, i've always love national day's songs even though this year's NDP's song pales in comparison but i guess i have no right to comment on it. I was super enthu and sang along hahaha then Bryan just couldn't be bothered. Meh.
Lol. My silly boy really behaved like a small boy when he found the light stick in his goodie bag.
I felt so gross throughout the day because i had many creams etc on my face after my facial and then i perspired during the NDP so i felt like my face was damn oily and dirty? Oh well. Overall i think i enjoyed myself there and i wouldn't mind going for NDP again next year. I'm hoping that my sis will have extra tickets again hehe.
How was your long weekend everyone? Mine was awesome! You got it, i'll be blogging about my birthday the next post! :D
